The camera comes with Alkaline AA batteries and a power cable. You can power the camera by Alkaline AA batteries or via a power cable. When the camera is battery-powered and records for 5 minutes a day, it can work for up to 4 months.
Can I use a cable to power the camera instead of batteries?
Yes. You can power the camera via a cable. But please note that the power applies to the camera, not to the battery.

What does the PIR sensor work for?
PIR sensors are more sensitive to the infrared radiation from humans or animals, and thus can dramatically reduce false alarms caused by fluttering moths or flying twigs.
